Vanusa - Which relationship?
Andrelina - For instance , How do you say the daughter of my aunt?
Vanusa - it's cousin.
Andrelina - That's interesting. What about her son?
Vanusa - You say cousin for both of them.
Andrelina - dope! Well , my sister Maria who lives in the USA has a son , so how should I call him?
Vanusa - Call him by his name.
Andrelina - lol! I know his name ...I mean ...
Vanusa - I know what you mean, I was kidding! Your sister's son is your nephew.
Andrelina - Nephew. Ok. What if he were a girl?
Vanusa - If he were a girl he wouldn't be "he" but "she.
Andrelina - you are very funny ! I am annoying you , aren't I ?
Vanusa - No way Andrê! It's a pleasure to help you. If your sister had a daughter , she would be your niece.
Andrelina - So, it's nephew for boys and niece for girls.
Vanusa - That's the ticket!
Andrelina - What?
Vanusa - I said that you are right!
Andrelina - Thank you very much for helping me to understand it.
Vanusa - That's what friends are for.

José Luís - Hey Selma, How've you been?
Selma - I've been pretty fine, thanks. What about you?
José Luis - I'm fine too but a little concerned about the relationship test.
Selma - Haven't you studied it yet?
Jose Luis - I have but it seems to be very difficult to memorize all of them.
Selma - I understand.

José Luís- May I call my sister's husband by uncle?
Selma - No, you can't. Your uncle is your mother's or your father's brother. Your sister's husband is your brother-in-law.
Jose Luis - Really? If I had a brother , would his wife be my sister-in-law?

Jose Luis - How nice! Let me see if I understood the whole picture. My girlfriend's mother is my mother-in-law.
Selma - I'd say that she will be your mother-in-law if you marry your girlfriend.
Jose Luis - but may I call her like that ?
Selma - It's up to you. You can call her father like father-in-law...
Jose Luis - Oh my gosh! You are opening my mind. Now I can understand many things...my girlfriend's sister once said that I was her brother-in-law because I was dating her sister...now I know she is mine too. That's awesome! ...I think I'm her parents ' son-in-law...

3- Altamir x Teacher
Altamir - Hello Teacher! How are you?
Teacher - I'm fine ! What about you?
Altamir - I'm getting on my nerves with this relationship stuff!
Teacher - You got excellent grades last time. I think you will do it ok.
Altamir - Thanks a lot teacher! Well, could you please explain me the difference between a step-sister and half-sister? I'm getting bored to death trying to figure it out.
Teacher - half sisters have one biological parent in common, by the other hand , step sister is only related through marriage. Like if your dad remarries,( I hope it never happens ) his new wife's kids would be your step brothers and step sisters.
Altamir- My dad loves my mom too much and we will be together for good! I think I understood ...let me see ...If Jackeline my oldest sister were just my father's daughter , she would be my half-sister, wouldn't she?
Teacher - That's the ticket!
Altamir - Come to think of it, if my father marries again his new wife's children would be my step-siblings, alright?

Altamir - And my grand-father's dad is , without no doubt, my great-grandfather...That's the ticket! Teacher - Hey you! This expression belongs to me!
Altamir - I watched a gangster movie where the famous hollywood actor Al Pacino was called "The God -father" ...What does God -father means?
Teacher - I watched this flick too, it was awesome! Al Pacino is one of the most perfect actor of the world. He was called " The God-father" because he was chosen to be somebody's God- Father. It's a religious term.
Altamir- Do you have a God-father , teacher?
Teacher - If I have one I don't know him yet...but I'm sure I have a God who lives in the Heaven and He is my spiritual father.
Altamir - If my mother marries again , how would I call her new husband?
Teacher - Do you remember that 'step relationship?
Altamir- Step-something again?
Teacher - Yeah! Step-father
Altamir - Oh my gosh! Step- mother, step-sister,step - brother ...stop! I can't take it anymore!
Teacher - As far as I'm concerned you have material enough for your homework.
Altamir - Is it over?
Teacher - Actually there are more relationships we didn't mention but I think you already know them.
Altamir - Like what?
Teacher - You better finish your homework.
